Neville was taken aback. He wasn't offended, he decided, he just hadn't been expecting what she just said in the least. His initial instinct was to pretend he didn't know what she was talking about, but he pushed that back ("You had a lot of people depending on you," Fiona had said at their last session, "and now you have to learn to depend on others. I bet more people care about you than you know.") and really considered Katie's offer.
"Thanks," he said finally. "I'll remember that. But I'm really doing alright."
